Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta arrived in Rwanda on Monday 11^th Mach, 2019  for a working visit.

On arrival at Kigali International Airport, President Kenyatta was received by Rwanda’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Dr. Richard Sezibera.

He immediately went to the Rwanda Defence Force Combat Training Centre of Gabiro in Gastibo District to  meet his Rwandan counterpart, President Paul Kagame wher he is  is chairing a 4 days annual National Leadership retreat, now in its 16th edition.

 Kenyatta is expected to hold talks with his counterpart President Paul Kagame. 

The two countries share close ties in multiple aspects including trade, security, capacity building and investment among others.

Kenyatta was last in Rwanda early last year during the Extraordinary Summit of the AU Heads of State during which African heads of state committed to the African Continental Free Trade Area.
