Rwanda Day, which was scheduled to take place in Bonn Germany on the 24th August 2019, has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.

Rwanda Day is one of the biggest national events for Diaspora Rwandans, giving them a platform to raise issues that need attention of each and every Rwandan in front of President Kagame and other officials who give answers.

According to the statement released by the Minister of State in charge of the East African Community Amb Olivier Nduhungirehe, the public will be informed of the new date in due course.

Bonn the former capital of West Germany was chosen to host Rwanda Day 2019 for its strategic location. The city does not have a big Rwandan Diaspora community, but it is located in Nordrhein-Wesfalen a German province that borders Belgium and the Netherland, both home to some of the biggest Rwandan Diaspora communities in Europe.

The latest Rwanda Day took place in 2017 in Brussels Belgium, it is a gathering that brings together all Rwandans living in diaspora, their compatriots from home and friends of Rwanda.
