Ex-Rwandan presidential guard shot dead in South Africa
News from BBC report that Sergeant Camille Nkurunziza, a former member of Rwanda President Paul Kagame’s presidential guard has just been killed in Cape Town South Africa.
BBC reported that two people were killed in Cape Town on Thursday after police opened fire on hijacking suspects.
“Circumstances surrounding the incident that occurred this afternoon at 5pm on the corner of Hugo and Milton roads, Goodwood, are under investigation,” said Western Cape police spokesperson.
“According to information, a vehicle that was allegedly hijacked, a Toyota Etios, was spotted by the police and the driver fled. A high-speed chase ensued and the vehicle collided with three vehicles. Two men in their thirties were shot and fatally wounded,” said the police.
Sources suggest that during the chase there was an exchange of fire between the suspects and the police.
Rwanda State Minister in charge of the East African Community, Amb. Olivier Nduhungirehe on his twitter account stated that Nkurunziza is a terrorist member of FLN .
So, Camille Nkurunziza, a member of terrorist organizations RNC of Kayumba Nyamwasa then FLN of Callixte Nsabimana, was also a hijacker in South Africa. He was killed yesterday evening by the Goodwood Police while resisting arrest with a knife. Once a criminal, always a criminal.
Nkurunziza is known for starting a campaign, dubbed No 3rd term for Kagame, which was very popular among the opposition in Rwanda.
South Africa Police said that the investigation is still going on
Kagame was last week in Pretoria South Africa for the swearing in Ceremony of President Cyril Ramaphosa.
