IPGL provides coaching and monitoring of investigative journalists
This 29th October 2019, two editors and coach visited investigative journalists in implementation of the project “Promoting Investigative Journalism” funded by British High Commission Kigali.
The visit took place at Izuba radio TV in Eastern province where editors and a pair of journalists Uwayezu Mediatrice, Yves Nkuyemuruge had coaching session. The editors reminded journalists about investigative techniques with focus on 3 key points:
- Approaches to protect personal security;
- How to design questionnaire for investigative story;
- Investigative interview techniques
After the coaching session journalists said they are delighted to have such session and said that it will help them to do better their investigative work. Editors helped journalists to build up their ongoing articles based on information they have and challenges faced.
